Welcome to Pope Francis!

Pope Francis will visit Belgium at the end of this month, marking a historic moment as the Pope seldom visits European countries. The Catholic community in Belgium, along with many others both domestically and internationally, eagerly anticipates this event.

Come greet the Holy Father

  • In Leuven on Friday, the 27th, between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM, around Saint Peter's Church and in front of the City Hall. No prior registration required;
  • In Koekelberg on Saturday, the 28th, between 9:45 AM and 10:00 AM, in front of the Basilica. Simple but mandatory registration via the link https://accreditationpopevisit.be/basilica;
  • In Louvain-la-Neuve on Saturday, the 28th, between 5:30 PM and 5:45 PM, only after individual registration;
  • In Brussels, between Brussels Expo and the King Baudouin Stadium, along Miramar Avenue and Empress Charlotte Avenue, on Sunday morning, September 29th, between 9:00 and 9:45 AM. No prior registration required, but you must be present no later than 8:40 AM.

Come celebrate

The highlight of the visit will be the Eucharistic celebration on Sunday, September 29th, at 10:00 AM, presided over by the Holy Father at the King Baudouin Stadium. On the occasion of the beatification of Anna of Jesus, a conference (Friday at 8:00 PM) and a prayer vigil (Saturday at 7:00 PM) will be organized at the Cathedral of Brussels.

The Mass presided over by the Holy Father at the King Baudouin Stadium can be followed on giant screens in the Basilica of Koekelberg on Sunday, September 29th.
